What a pleasure the whole interaction was with Richard and EcoChoice! I have had three sets of double glazing installed in other properties, but EcoChoice offered, I thought, the best price, and the classiest windows, that I've yet encountered. The price was excellent, and the windows really do look exceptionally smart: fine metal fittings, windows that slide smoothly, little clever features (a tilting facility, safety catches...) But the real pleasure in this project was the encounter with Richard. He won my trust, right away, with his honesty: 'I could be talking myself out of a job here, but your existing windows aren't too bad...' (I decided to push ahead. My existing windows were single glazed sash, and I'm so glad I did. It's remarkable - how insulation has improved, and energy bills have dropped). Then he endeared himself to me further, with judicious advice. 'To be honest, I'd save money; I wouldn't go for the white foiled effect; the windows will look good without it.' (And he was right, they really do). I felt that I was dealing with a man of taste and sensitivity, who was responding to my aesthetic concerns. ('I get it', he said, 'you've got a Victorian house, with original timber frames; you don't want to hurt it. You won't!') And I appreciated how he came round afterwards, to check everything looked good, whereupon he noticed the one window I'd not had replaced, and how shoddy it appeared in comparison with the new ones. 'I'll pop back,' he offered, 'and just fill that.' Thank you Richard! You are a gentleman, and a pleasure to work with!
